CAE 0657 Florida Laws & Rules for Nursing online

Course Description:
A fully online self-study course designed to provide a review of Florida laws & rules related to the practice of nursing. The target audience for this course is registered nurses, clinical nurse specialists, advanced registered nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses, & certified nursing assistants. This course is designed for healthcare workers in the community and for students entering health science programs. Check with your respective program to determine if this course is required.

Students who successfully complete this course will be able to download and print a Certificate of Completion indicating 2 contact hours of continuing education.

Methods of Instruction & Learning Outcomes:
This course will involve self paced, self study activities such as the viewing of online presentations, Web links, and assessments. These activities are designed to provide instruction and foster learning in the cognitive (i.e., mind based) domain.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student shall be able to:
  1. Describe Florida laws & rules related to the practice of nursing.
Course Requirements:
Students taking an online course are expected to be moderately proficient in using a computer. Please go to the Technical requirements page for a complete list of computer skills and technical requirements. All students must obtain a BC email address. It is used for course login.

How to Access the Course:
Once the term has begun, you can log on at the BConline login page. Please note that you must pay for the course before you will be able to access it in Desire2Learn (D2L). There may be a delay of up to 20 minutes from when you register and pay before the login is activated.
